What started as a love story became a passion for hearing technology. More than a century of innovations in sound processing helped make us who we are.
Oticon Medical’s story started with Hans Demant’s mission in 1904. Hans wanted to help his wife Camilla lead a better life, unhindered by her hearing loss. He accomplished this with one of the first electronic hearing aids in the world. From this foundation of care came the hearing aid company Oticon, with its passion to help people who need hearing support. And out of Oticon, grew Oticon Medical – with our mission to create innovative hearing implant technology and provide lifelong support when hearing aids are not enough. We work constantly towards our vision of a world where hearing loss is no limitation. And today, with more than a century of innovations in sound processing – plus decades of pioneering experience in hearing implant technology – we strive to make a meaningful difference every day.
