It's all about freedom of choice

At Oticon Medical we believe that hearing care professionals and users should have the freedom to choose whichever solution best suits their needs at any point in time. With universal interfaces between implants, abutments and sound processors, the Ponto System really does offer freedom of choice.

Universal interfaces

Recognizing that professionals and patients need unhindered access to the very latest technologies, we offer universal interfaces between implants, abutments and sound processors. Upgrading to new solutions is possible, and also easier when it doesn't involve changing the abutment!

Putting user needs first

Providing more choice and easy access to new technology is part of Oticon Medical’s “People First” philosophy. This philosophy reminds us that every product we create should be designed with user needs in mind.

We want to empower all users of bone anchored hearing systems to realize their full potential and live life to the full. We intend to achieve this by offering people the freedom to choose new and better alternatives – both now and in the future.

Benefits from new technology

Ponto sound processors have brought advanced sound technology to users of bone anchored hearing systems, and several clinical studies reveal numerous patient benefits related to sound quality, speech understanding and design.1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Sound technology will continue to improve also in the future and new technology needs to be easily accessed by as many users as possible.
