Higher fitting flexibility

Ponto processors put the most advanced signal processing at the audiologist’s fingertips via Genie Medical. This software gives audiologists more opportunities to fully utilize their expertise and customize each solution to suit the user.

BC In-situ Audiometry

BC In-situ Audiometry allows the audiologist to measure individual BC hearing thresholds directly via the sound processor. The goal is to increase accuracy and reduce the need for fine tuning and verification measurements.

Feedback Manager

The Feedback Manager automatically measures individual feedback conditions and shapes the maximum gain curve for full use of the volume control with far less risk of feedback.

Dedicated fitting modes

Intuitive and easy to use – in a format that feels familiar to anyone who has used Oticon's Genie software - Genie Medical helps the audiologist to fit patients with confidence. To optimize the fitting outcome and workflow for different user groups, Genie Medical offers dedicated fitting modes and rationales for:

• Conductive / mixed hearing losses
• Single-sided deafness
• Soft band

As a starting point, each of these modes aim to offer an accurate prescription of gain; thus very little fine tuning is needed.

 

Insight through Data Logging

Ponto uses data logging to memorize valuable information such as usage time, volume control settings, advanced feature activity and program use, as input for future adjustments.
